The statistics and outlook around health and wellbeing can make for sobering reading.
Health services are under greater pressure than ever, with waiting lists for planned hospital treatments having passed 5 million, and some forecasting it could hit 10 million. This is being compounded by the many thousands of serious health conditions that have gone undiagnosed and untreated due to COVID-19. Furthermore, there is an ongoing mental health crisis, with one in five of us experiencing some form of depression in early 2021, a rate double the pre-pandemic level.
The widespread adoption of healthier behaviours has never been more pressing.
