When The Crown Estate wanted employees to be more collaborative across business functions, we helped create its new Connect 365 volunteering initiative. It is designed to get colleagues to meet each other and share skills and experiences, while contributing to an ambitious annual target of 365 days of collective community volunteering.
The organising principle behind Connect 365 is ‘making connections’. We shaped a simple ‘connecting’ framework to help define and source volunteering opportunities aligned to the company’s stewardship themes and its core proposition ‘conscious commercialism’, while also helping colleagues overcome barriers to volunteering and participation.
We developed a distinctive communications campaign, which was deployed across regular channels, ambient prompts and interactive experiences. This enabled The Crown Estate to share opportunities, stories and progress, celebrate success and achieve measurable impacts.
